Team Building Leadership Training Corporate Retreats

Have you ever finished reading a book and thought to yourself, “If I could just get everybody on my team to read this we’d be in business”? We certainly have. That’s why we’ve created programs designed to implement the concepts presented in these two highly popular and effective books. Both programs are suitable for teams at all levels.

Do you have a favorite book that was an informational turning point for you? Let us design a program around it for your next training.

QBQ: The Question Behind the Question

Practicing Personal Accountability in Work and in Life

The program we have created around this short and succinct book offers a formula for creating personal accountability and responsibility, rather than blaming or complaining. A team is only as effective as any of the individuals that it is comprised of. The power of the QBQ formula is that it puts the ‘I’ back into the word TEAM by empowering individuals to be responsible for meaningful and necessary change.

Under the QBQ formula, a question like, “When are they going to communicate better?” becomes, “How can I communicate more effectively?” The beauty of our accountability workshop is that your employees will then start asking themselves these types of questions, knowing that their team members are doing the same. This leads to your entire team taking action on getting or doing what they need to have/do to be the best in their job! This highly participatory workshop will have your team immediately generating questions and setting goals for which they are responsible, thereby increasing personal, inter-personal and organizational effectiveness.

“In the best companies, everyone holds everyone else accountable, regardless of their level or position.”

The Five Dysfunctions of a Team

A Leadership Fable

Patrick Lencioni’s bestseller outlines five dysfunctions of ineffective teams, but the focus of the book is really about the opposite, that is, the five things that need to be present in order to create truly cohesive and effective teams. This book is a great shared experience for a team to have, as it is written in an easy to read fable style that allows individuals in a team to relate with the characters and their all too familiar team dynamics.

Our program includes a team assessment to get an accurate gauge of where your team sees themselves and what level of consensus exist on this point. We will explore trust, conflict, commitment, accountability and team focus as it is relevant to your team. This will include checking in with the group to see on what level these functions are already present within the team, what challenges may stand in the way, and how they can be developed further. This type of genuine inquiry into your team’s present level of functionality requires true honesty and disclosure from participants. During a client interview we will work with you to determine whether this program is the best for your team in order to achieve your objectives.
